Kerry Bessey
Executive Vice President, Human Resources
Kerry Bessey is Time Inc.'s executive vice president of Human Resources, with responsibility for the company's Human Resources and Corporate Communications departments.
Prior to joining Time Inc., Bessey ran the Human Resources divisions of several of Nortel's largest business units and regional operations focusing heavily on executive development and coaching, restructuring and reengineering. She also held two successive corporate posts, first as vice president of Organization Development, where she spearheaded a global reorganization from functional to integrated business units, and then as vice president of Global Resourcing. In this last capacity, she was responsible for Nortel's worldwide talent acquisition in the highly competitive technology field.
Bessey is currently on the board of the Taproot Foundation which fosters pro bono work by combining the best practices of volunteer matching, professional services and foundation grant making to ensure the delivery of quality services to non profits using volunteers and was formerly on the board of City Gallery, now the Contemporary Art Museum in Raleigh
Bessey holds a BA from the University of San Francisco.
