Maurice F. Edelson
General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

Maurice Edelson was named Time Inc.'s General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Corporate Development in November 2007. In this role, Edelson manages Time Inc.'s legal functions, corporate strategy work and M&A. He also oversees Time Inc.'s international licensing efforts.

Previously, Edelson served as Time Inc.'s Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning where he was responsible for corporate strategy and M&A, as well as certain aspects of financial analysis and planning.

Edelson joined Strategic Planning in January 2001, with responsibility for Time Inc.'s M&A work. Prior to that, he was Assistant General Counsel in the Time Inc. Law Department, having joined the department in 1998.

Before joining Time Inc., Edelson served as a corporate counsel at Viacom Inc., and prior to that he was associated with the law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore.

A graduate of Vassar College, Edelson holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
