Wayne Powers
President, Time Inc. Media Group
Wayne Powers was named President of the Time Inc. Media Group in March 2007. In this role, Powers is responsible for all corporate sales and marketing efforts for Time Inc.'s 125 world-class brands across multiple platforms. He also oversees Time Inc. Research & Insights, Time Inc. Content Solutions, Media Networks Inc. (MNI) and Targeted Media Inc.
Powers created the Time Inc. Digital Network in 2007, harnessing the collective power of Time Inc.’s trusted digital brands and offering advertisers an opportunity to reach an aggregated online audience of over 26 million unique users. This places the Time Inc. Digital Network among the top 15 media brands online.
Previously, Powers served as President of MNI and Targeted Media, which both specialize in targeted advertising and custom marketing solutions.
Powers joined Time Inc. in 1998 as Vice President of Sales at MNI, and led the sales staff to record-level success. After being named President of MNI in 2001, Powers was responsible for growing the company’s business across new media platforms, and building its reputation as an innovative advertising solutions provider. In April 2006, Powers became President of Targeted Media in addition to his MNI duties.
A graduate of the Ohio State University, Powers began his career in the consumer packaged goods industry where he held key senior sales, trade marketing, and executive sales management positions.
Powers is a sports enthusiast who enjoys running, baseball, tennis, and golf. He resides in Connecticut with his wife, and their two sons.
