Time Inc. is committed to developing talent at all levels of the organization. We identify, recruit, hire and develop undergraduate- and graduate-level students through our rich and varied internship programs. We offer our interns excellent exposure, experience and education, while learning from them as our consumers and future business leaders.

Academic-year internships are offered on an as-needed basis, with available positions varying each semester.

Summer Internships

Time Inc. runs a number of summer internship programs that are customized for specific brands and functional areas. All of our internship positions are paid, and the programs run for 9-10 weeks. Internships are available in the functional areas listed below (click on function for expanded information). You will be asked to indicate your brand and functional area preference(s) in your application.

• Advertising Sales
  Sells print and/or digital ad space/integrated marketing plans to existing and prospective advertisers
• Brand Marketing/Integrated Marketing
  Ad sales generation through conceptualizing and writing integrated marketing and digital proposals in response to advertiser RFPs, collaborates with sales teams and cross departments to develop "big idea" concepts for advertisers
• Consumer & Business Research
  Primary and syndicated market research to support ad sales with advertisement effectiveness data and to provide editorial and consumer marketing with actionable insights in order to shape content and set strategy
• Consumer Marketing (Rising seniors only)
  Generation of subscription and newsstand sales across print and digital platforms through innovative ideation, campaign execution, sales or campaign performance analysis, and/or digital audience development through marketing strategies and tracking web analytics
• Editorial
  Editorial/Writing, Photography and/or Design
• Information Technology
  Desktop Support, Internet Operations, Internet Engineering, IT Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, Application Development, Web Development, Database Engineering, Remote Support
• Public Relations
  Works with media relations, press releases, event planning, and internal communications; creates strategic communication and publicity efforts across print and digital

LifeStyle Group Fellowship Program

Time Inc.’s LifeStyle Group Fellowship program, based out of Birmingham, AL, offers recent college graduates the opportunity to gain experience at some of our trusted brands including Southern Living, Coastal Living, Cooking Light and Oxmoor House.  Opportunities are offered in the following areas: editorial, marketing, finance, digital, photography and test kitchens.  The fellowship program will run from July 2013 to June 2014.  Candidates who are unwilling or unable to relocate to Birmingham for the Fellowship program will not be eligible for consideration.
