  • Industry Ad Campaign

    Time Inc., along with Conde Nast, Hearst Magazines, Meredith and Wenner Media announced the launch of "Magazines, The Power of Print", one of the largest print advertising campaigns ever created to promote the vitality of magazines. Created by Y&R NY, the campaign will roll out in the May issues (for weeklies, the issues on sale the week of April 5) of nearly 100 titles and run for seven months.

  • FORTUNE Redesign

    The newly-redesigned FORTUNE hit newsstands in March, featuring higher-quality paper stock, new fonts and display type, new sections such as "Careers" and "Venture" and new columnists like CNBC's Becky Quick. Other additions include "Washington Watch," a front of the book feature on government spending, and "Techmate," a debate series between FORTUNE tech gurus Jon Fortt and Michael V. Copeland.

  • PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly Deliver Strong Oscar Issues

    Academy Awards issues from PEOPLE (3/22) and EW (3/19) were up 68% and 84% respectively from 2009. Among the new advertisers in PEOPLE's Oscar wrap were Frederic Fekkai (Procter & Gamble) and Piperlime (Gap). People.com drew record traffic the day after the Oscars with 63 million page views versus 58.2 million last year, up 8%.

  • SI.com Launched Daily Video Programming

    The Sports Illustrated Group launched a video initiative on SI.com that will deliver SI's award-winning journalism, breaking news and analysis, and sports highlights to the website's 20 million + monthly unique users. As part of the launch, SI.com has debuted its signature program, the SI Inside Report, anchored by veteran sports journalist Maggie Gray. Both Mercedes and Samsung have signed on as launch advertisers. The video launch comes on the heels of an all time record traffic month for SI.com at 28.4 million unique visitors in February.

  • New Books From Six Time Inc. Journalists

    ASix Time Inc. journalists have new books out, or coming out in the next month. TIME Editor at Large and Senior Political Analyst Mark Halperin's book Game Change was released in January; FORTUNE Managing Editor Andy Serwer wrote Starting Over: Why the Last Decade Was So Damn Rotten and Why the Next One Will Surely Be Better, which came out in January; TIME Managing Editor Rick Stengel wrote Mandela's Way: Fifteen Lessons on Life, Love, and Courage and TIME's Assistant Managing Editor Jim Frederick is the author of Black Hearts: One Platoon's Descent into Madness in Iraq's Triangle of Death, both released in the past month; Kristin van Ogtrop, Real Simple's Managing Editor wrote Just Let Me Lie Down, slated for April, and FORTUNE Editor at Large Peter Elkind's book Rough Justice: The Rise And Fall Of Eliot Spitzer will be released in May.

  • Sports Illustrated Wins Digital Ellie

    The American Society of Magazine Editors and the Journalism School at Columbia University announced the winners of the 2010 National Magazine Awards for Digital Media. Sports Illustrated got the nod in the Regular Department or Section category for its NFL vertical on SI.com.

     
  • Real Simple Launches Branded Products at Bed Bath & Beyond

    Real Simple recently launched Real Simple Solutions, a line of home organization products to be sold exclusively at Bed Bath & Beyond nationwide. This direct partnership with Bed Bath & Beyond represents a significant expansion of the Real Simple product licensing program. Real Simple Solutions products are all designed to solve the real life problems that women face every day. The line launched with closet organization and will expand into laundry this summer. Early sales have been strong.

     
  • PEOPLE Greece Launches

    On March 30, PEOPLE began publishing weekly in Greece through an agreement with Greek publishing company Imako Media S.A. PEOPLE's International editions include India and Australia (where it is called WHO), but Greece will be the first edition outside the English language.
