InStyle Launches StyleFind.com
InStyle’s new shopping site StyleFind features approximately 150 hand-picked retailers and over 2,000 hand-picked brands, with plans to add more in 2011. Shoppers can filter by Editors’ Picks, as well as by brand, retailer, trend, size, color, print and price. Once the desired fashion and beauty products are identified, StyleFind guides consumers to the point of purchase on the retailer’s site. “Editors’ Picks” appear at the top of every browse results page and a separate Editors’ Picks channel is updated daily. Shoppers can easily share their favorite StyleFind products via Facebook and Twitter.

PEOPLE Reveals Sexiest Man Alive 2010
PEOPLE named Ryan Reynolds the “Sexiest Man Alive” 2010 in a special double issue, which celebrated the 25th anniversary of the iconic franchise. The issue included a retrospective featuring an analysis of some key traits of past cover boys including “The Fantastic Four” (George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck, and Matt Damon) and “Screen Idols” (Johnny Depp, who People.com readers voted Sexiest Man of All Time, Matthew McConaughey, Tom Cruise, and Denzel Washington). In honor of the anniversary, ABC aired a one-hour special on November 17th called “25 Years of Sexy: PEOPLE Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive!” hosted by Kim Kardashian.

Sports Illustrated Names Drew Brees 2010 Sportsman of Year
New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees was named Sports Illustrated’s 2010 Sportsman of the Year. Brees, who helped the Saints win their first Superbowl ever in 2010, is the magazine’s 57th honoree, joining a group of athletes that includes Muhammad Ali, Arthur Ashe, Jack Nicklaus, Derek Jeter, and Cal Ripken Jr. to receive the award. From 2006–09, Brees threw for the most yards and tied for the most touchdown passes of any quarterback in the NFL. Off the field, he established The Brees Dream Foundation in 2003 to support cancer research and the education of children in need. SI held an event honoring Brees on November 30th, where Joe Montana, Curt Shilling, Billie Jean King, Bill Russell and other sports luminaries came out to congratulate him.

LIFE.com launched an iPad app with nearly 2,000 HD photo galleries. An interactive map called the LIFE Explorer allows users to find photos based on where they were taken. “Email”, “Facebook”, and “Twitter” buttons allow for easy sharing posting to social networks and sharing LIFE photos with friends.

Sports Illustrated’s special report on Ben Roethlisberger, The Hangover, was chosen as top Investigative story. SI also won in the Photo Journalism category for The Olympics in Pictures, the Online Single Article category for the untold story behind Jeremiah Masoli’s downfall at Oregon , the Profile Q&A category for The Unexpected Hero, and SI.com won in the Best Website Design category. TIME won in the News Coverage category for its cover stories on Afghan Women and the Return of the Taliban and Haiti ‘s Tragedy. InStyle won for Best Use of Social Media. Entertainment Weekly won best Print/Online Coverage of a Single Topic for its coverage of LOST and best Online Column for The Ausiello Files. CNNMoney.com won in the Special Section category for Best Places to Live. And Real Simple won in the Magazine Design/Single Issue category for its August 2010 issue and best Single Magazine Issue for April 2010.
