  • Ad Age Names TIME's Kim Kelleher Publisher of the Year; This Old House and TIME Make "A-List"

    This Old House debuted on the list at #9 and was recognized for its success with consumers despite the down economy and increases in ad pages both in print and digital properties. TIME, which was cited for newsstand and subscription growth over the past year and its coverage of breaking news, earned the #2 spot. TIME Worldwide Publisher Kim Kelleher was named Publisher of the Year for her efforts in advancing the TIME brand internationally and closing significant ad deals.

  • FORTUNE Most Powerful Women

    Fortune hosted the 13th annual Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit, a series of lively conversation from women leaders in business, philanthropy, government, education and the arts in Washington, D.C. October 3-5. Attendees had the opportunity to gain insight from top female executives including PepsiCo's Indra Nooyi, Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg, Gilt Groupe's Susan Lyne and NBC Universal's Bonnie Hammer.

  • Real Simple Debuts on the NOOK Color

    Real Simple debuted the November issue on the NOOK Color, kicking off Time Inc.'s recent announcement that all 21 domestic titles will become available on all tablets by year-end. Real Simple can be purchased for $4.99 per issue or $2.99 per month for a digital-only subscription in the NOOK store. Current subscribers to the magazine have the option to upgrade their subscriptions to include the tablet edition at no additional cost. Real Simple's debut on the NOOK Color follows the brand's two successful utility apps, No Time to Cook? and To-Do Lists, and precedes its All Access launch on all other major tablet platforms in November.

  • Time Inc. Pays Tribute to Steve Jobs

    In the days following the passing of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, PEOPLE hit newsstands nationwide four days early to accommodate the breaking news with a 16-page feature on Jobs and PEOPLE.com featured over a dozen stories, videos and exclusive tributes. EW.com ran several galleries of Jobs and the October 28 issue of Entertainment Weekly celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the iPod. Time Home Entertainment Inc. produced TIME and FORTUNE books remembering the inventor - Steve Jobs: The Genius Who Changed Our World and The Legacy of Steve Jobs: A Tribute From the Pages of FORTUNE. Time Home Entertainment Inc. also published an e-book "All About Steve," featuring 17 FORTUNE stories on Jobs and FORTUNE magazine ran an exclusive excerpt of Walter Isaacson's biography of Steve Jobs, timed to the book's release on October 24. TIME stopped the presses on its previously planned issue and released a special commemorative issue on Jobs, which included 21 pages devoted to Jobs' life and career. This issue marked the seventh time Jobs appeared on the cover of TIME.

  • People Stylewatch Launches First International Edition

    Stylewatch launched its first licensed edition of the brand, People Stylewatch Turkey. Stylewatch partnered with Mutlu Dergi Grubu A.S., a leading publisher which has brought Time Inc. brands such as InStyle, InStyle Home and FORTUNE to the Turkish market. The magazine will be edited by Turkish Media industry veteran and fashion and style expert Elif Akca. The brand was recently ranked #6 on Adweek Magazine's Hot List 2011 and has experienced significant growth since its 2002 launch - Stylewatch currently reaches 5.4 million readers each month and PeopleStyleWatch.com is the #1 style magazine website reaching 3.2 million uniques every month.
