Time Inc. Announces The 10 NYC Startups to Watch
Editors from Time Inc. brands, including TIME, FORTUNE, CNNMoney.com, PEOPLE, Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, and InStyle, scoured New York's thriving technology scene to uncover the ten most promising startups this year. The diverse list spotlights New York City-based startups with the potential to reshape areas from social media and entertainment to commerce and art. The selected startups will be honored at an event during Internet Week on May 16.

MIN's "Best of the Web" Awards
Seven Time Inc. Brands were named winners of MIN's Annual "Best of The Web" Awards, which recognizes superior achievements in digital media by magazine publishers. Sports Illustrated won in the "Advertiser Program/Partnership" and "Integration with Print" categories, PEOPLE.com won in the "Content/Online Games" and "Use of Social Media" categories, Essence.com won for "Best Redesign," TIME for "Best Free Tablet App," Southernliving.com won in the Editorial Excellence: Special Section" category, Cooking Light won for "Best Tablet App – Paid App – Interactive" and Entertainment Weekly won for "Best Video: Magazine-Branded Show." In addition to the brand wins, Style & Entertainment Group Director of Digital Audience Development, Lisa Brewer was awarded the "Genius Award," for her work in the SEG group. The winners were honored at an event on April 3 in New York.

Fortune Brainstorm: GREEN
FORTUNE, in partnership with Conservation International, The Nature Conservatory, NRDC and the Environmental Defense League, held the fifth annual FORTUNE Brainstorm: GREEN Conference in Laguna Niguel, California on April 16-18. The conference brought together FORTUNE 500 CEOs, senior executives and the green movement's brightest thinkers for a conference focused on environmental trends and sustainable practices. The program included panel discussions and interviews from industry leaders such as Ford CEO Alan Mulally and Wal-Mart Chairman Rob Walton. The conference was led by key members of FORTUNE's editorial staff including Managing Editor Andy Serwer and Senior Editors at Large Brian Dumaine and Adam Lashinsky.

At the TIME 100 Gala on April 24, some of the biggest names in business, entertainment, government, philanthropy, science and art gathered to celebrate TIME's list of the 100 most influential people in the world at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave the keynote address and Rihanna, Raphael Saadiq and Stephen Colbert performed. Other TIME 100 attendees included Jeremy Lin, Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Kristen Wiig, Tilda Swinton, Matt Lauer, Claire Danes, Louis CK, Harvey Weinstein, Mashable founder and CEO Pete Cashmore, IBM CEO Virginia Rometty, Spanx founder Sara Blakely and chef José Andrés.

Greg Giangrande named EVP and Chief Human Resources
Greg Giandrande was named Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Time Inc. In this role he will lead all aspects of Human Resources for the company, including talent recruitment and development, compensation and benefits. Giangrande was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Dow Jones & Company/The Wall Street Journal.
