Time Inc. Honored at the National Magazine Awards
The American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) revealed the winners of the annual National Magazine Awards and Time Inc. was honored with the two most notable distinctions of the evening. TIME was awarded "Magazine of the Year," recognizing excellence in print and on digital platforms and Sports Group Editor Terry McDonell became just the 26th person to be inducted into the Magazine Editors' Hall of Fame.

Departures Delivers 20% Ad Revenue Increase in First Half
Departures reported a 20% increase in ad revenue and a 5% increase in paging in the first half of 2012. This strong performance comes after a 45% increase in total ad revenue in 2011, an increase assisted by strong performance in the fashion, jewelry and watch and travel sectors. On the digital side, Departures.com saw an impressive 300% ad revenue increase in the first quarter of 2011. New business to the brand includes Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Net-A-Porter, Tod's and Waldorf=Astoria.

Real Simple Reaches 100K Pinterest Milestone
Real Simple became the first magazine brand — and third brand overall — to reach 100K followers on Pinterest. Pinterest currently drives more than two times the traffic to RealSimple.com than Facebook and Twitter combined and is the second-biggest traffic referrer only behind Google. The brand, which launched its Pinterest page in October 2010, has seen success through the editorial team's efforts to leverage the site in smart ways, including setting up its "Pinterest Board of Editors" and allowing Pinterest to help inform its editorial strategy.

People En Español's "50 Mas Bellos" Issue
People en Español released the 16th annual "50 Mas Bellos" issue, honoring the hottest names in Hispanic entertainment. The magazine photographed honorees including actress Zoe Saldaña, actors Ricky Martin and William Levy, Mexican singer Thalia and NY Giants' Victor Cruz in global cities from Argentina, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Spain. This marks the magazine's largest June issue in the past five years, with ad pages up 19% year-over-year to 119 pages. New business in the "50 Más Bellos" June 2012 issue include Givenchy Fragrances, Ojon, 7 UP, Neutrogena, Nautica Cologne, Diet Pepsi-Cola, Dodge, State Farm & Utilisima.

InStyle March Issue Outsells Competition on Newsstand
The Audit Bureau of Circulations released figures on March newsstand sales and InStyle led the category with 777,000 copies, outselling all competition in the fashion/beauty set. The issue, which was its biggest March issue ever for the brand, saw a 16.8% increase in sales year-over-year.

TIME's Are You Mom Enough? Issue Goes Viral
The May 21 issue of TIME, which featured a controversial cover and story on attachment parenting, received a great deal of buzz. TIME.com generated 1.9MM unique visitors on May 10, the 2nd best day in for the site so far in 2012, and over 18% of referrals were generated by social media. The term "Time Magazine" was a trending topic on Twitter in the U.S. and tweets related to the cover received over 4.3K mentions on Twitter.

PEOPLE Reveals World's Most Beautiful Woman
PEOPLE named Beyonce the World's Most Beautiful Woman. The special double issue featured the "Not A Drop of Makeup" section were Bridesmaids actress Rose Byrne, Modern Family's Julie Bowen, Michael Jackson's daughter Paris Jackson and New Girl's Zooey Deschanel, who wore nothing more than moisturizer for the photo shoots. A section called "Half Their Age" featured stars such as Kristin Davis, Aisha Tyler and Tory Burch who share their secrets for looking young. Additionally, PEOPLE revealed the results of the Real Beauty At Every Age contest which featured everyday beautiful women in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s.
