(NEW YORK, NY, MARCH 20, 2017)—Time Inc. (NYSE:TIME) has named Staci Hallmon-Bazzani Vice President and Brand Sales Director of Essence, effective immediately. Hallmon-Bazzani, who most recently served as Essence's National Sponsorship Director, now oversees its sales team responsible for generating revenue for the brand across platforms. She reports to Cece Ryan, Senior Vice President, Entertainment, Style and Multicultural of Time Inc.
“Staci has done an extraordinary job growing sponsorships for the Essence Festival and its programming while increasing media commitments to Essence's print and digital products as part of these partnerships," said Ryan. "Her passion for Essence combined with her sales and management experience will help us meet our clients' needs and drive revenue."
Hallmon-Bazzani has significantly increased Essence's revenues and built strategic, growth focused teams since joining the brand in 2006. She has served in various sales roles including Director of Live Event of Sponsorships. Under her stewardship, the annual Essence Festival--which attracts on average a half million people to New Orleans every Fourth of July weekend--has sustained and developed global marketing partnerships with Coca-Cola, Ford, Verizon, State Farm, McDonald’s and Walmart, to name a few. Hallmon-Bazzani has also successfully launched programming initiatives aligned with the Beauty, Style and Entertainment categories to create new revenue-generating opportunities for the Festival.
