New store located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Features Range of Gift Items Produced in the South, Demo Kitchen and More
(NEW YORK, NY, NOVEMBER 21, 2016)—Today, Time Inc. (NYSE: TIME) announced the official launch of the first Southern Living branded retail store, located in the Market Common shopping center in Myrtle Beach, SC. The new store features a selection of items from local Southern artists and producers and by the Southern Living brand, a state-of-the-art demo kitchen and more.
Southern Living’s in-house experts designed the 5,000 square-foot space. In the store’s special Grocery section, customers can purchase products that have won Southern Living Food Awards, pantry items from Lowcountry Produce and other brands, as well as Southern Living’s variety of cookbooks. For the holiday season, Southern Living is showcasing items from several companies in its 2016 Holiday Gift Guide, running in the December issue on newsstands now. The store also has dedicated spaces for fashion, home décor and gardening items.
The Southern Living store will also host live music, book signings and visits from artists. In the demo kitchen, customers can sample Southern Living recipes that will be tested on site. Plus, the store will offer sweet tea to customers for free every day.
“As we extend the Southern Living brand to a whole new level, we chose a distinctly Southern market, Myrtle Beach, for our inaugural retail store,” said Southern Living Editor-in-Chief Sid Evans. “Southern Living used its inspiration and iconic style to carefully curate the items for sale and design the beautiful space. We are looking forward to providing Myrtle Beach with a new destination during the holiday season and year-round.”
Southern Living partnered with Watch Out, LLC to open the store. The Market Common Shopping Center is located on 4017 Deville St. in Myrtle Beach.
