Southern Living Hotel Collection

Southern Living Hotel Collection allows our consumers to experience the brand beyond print and digital by offering them editorially vetted travel experiences.

The Southern Living Hotel Collection, launched in summer 2013, has grown exponentially and is a model example of an advertising/editorial collaboration that will drive business transformation. It showcases the authority of the Southern Living brand, drives revenue and offers consumers a unique way to experience the brand they trust. The collection is a curated group of independent, four- and five-star level hotels, resorts and inns chosen by the editors that offer the best in authentic Southern hospitality. The Collection, which has grown from 15 to 30 properties, is by invitation only and hotels pay a fee to join.

The 30 current members of the collection represent approximately 2 million hotel stays annually

In 2014, the brand introduced a series of branded consumer events at the hotels. From wedding workshops to cooking experiences, each event is packaged with room and dining specials to drive revenue and set the properties apart from competition. These wedding workshops tie back to a special weddings section, targeted to Southern brides and mothers of brides, that the brand publishes in-book three times a year. Our first wedding workshop was sold out and the hotel booked 4 weddings.
